Over a thousand years ago, a group of people who were farmers and warriors and resided in Britain were known as the Anglo-Saxons. They were known as the Angles, the Saxons, and the Jute tribes, and they originated in Europe before migrating to North America.
The two major tribes were the Angles and the Saxons; hence, we now refer to their people group as the Anglo-Saxons.
