The fascinating rise and fall of Marguerite Alibert aka Princess Fahmy, a versatile woman who got away with murder

Born on December 9th, 1890, Marguerite Marie Alibert was the eldest daughter of a poor Parisian couple. Since both her parents worked for the elites in Paris, Marguerite grew up with the inclinations of a high-class Parisian lady. With beauty parallel to an Earls’ wife, Marguerite Marie Alibert was becoming a gorgeous, intelligent, and sophisticated woman with a bright future until tragic events unfolded.
At the age of fifteen, Marguerite was held responsible by her parents for her four-year-old little brother’s fatal accident. As punishment, her parents sent her to board with the nearby Sisters of Mary. There, the teenage girl was relentlessly beaten and berated by the local nuns. Nevertheless, apart from a smattering amount of education, Marguerite learned singing and necessary social skills while building a headstrong nature.
A year later, Marguerite got pregnant with her daughter, Raymond, by an unknown man and was expelled and sent home. Despite Marguerite’s wish to forget these woes, these traumatizing events mightily molded the Parisian’s personality.
From the Bar to a Star
As soon as Marguerite returned, she faced an uphill battle seeking a job. Being awfully poor, she sent her daughter to live on a rural central France farm. Nevertheless, the teenage girl was determined to escape poverty and live the sophisticated life she had a penchant for. In an age of courtesans and night ladies, prostitution presented itself as the ideal avenue for Marguerite.
Marguerite started as low as street prostitution. She started charming men during her singing performances at local bars and went home with the richest ones at night. Petite, with a fair complexion, and long auburn hair, Marguerite had an odd, provocative charm that men found incredibly appealing.
