TThe Holocaust is one of the worst genocides in recent memory and that is why Raphael Lemkin coined the term. When one thinks of the Holocaust, an obvious question that comes to one’s mind is: how did he get away with it? It is plausible that one man could have such hatred for a specific group of people, but it seems unlikely that an entire nation can so vehemently share in his loathing.

After all, our shared humanity would undoubtedly inspire, if not empathy, at least some sympathy for the oppressed.

Hitler was able to not only commit genocide but receive active help and participation from Nazi Germany because he had removed the Jews’ humanity, rendering them parasites and leeches.

Let’s explore how he was able to do this and consequently commit some of the most brutal crimes against humanity in recorded history.
