What Happens If You Don’t Shower for a Month?
Things that we consider to be a part of our basic hygiene today, were not always considered common. Throughout Europe’s history, showering was considered to be a luxury, and only high-ranking nobles took any serious care of their hygiene.
People would go months without a proper shower due to the cold weather, bathing only when the weather allowed it and when there was sufficient water.
If we survived for most of history without properly cleaning ourselves, is it really necessary? I mean, how bad could it get if you showered just once every month?
After the First Day
Twenty-four hours have passed since your last shower. Everything feels slightly off and icky, and the clothes you were wearing don’t feel too nice either. Your loved ones complain a bit when they hug you, and your partner must really love you if they don’t complain while cuddling with you.
After the Third Day
Things are starting to get serious now. You can quite seriously smell yourself and your clothes aren’t lasting too long because of the killer stench your sweat has by now.
